So I decided I needed to just do a post where I update everyone on what's going on. I know I've been lacking in posts recently and it's because I've been too busy or when I haven't been too busy, I've been too tired to log on and post (even though I have an app on my phone...)! This post is just to give basically a summary of my life right now!
First off, there won't be any posts this week - there might be one that I pre-write but I don't think that will happen - because I will be in the great country of Italy! I've been waiting all year and I leave at noon tomorrow to go skiing for a week. However, I'm with my school so we're not allowed internet access. I'll take photos though and possibly make a designated gallery page on the blog for them!
Second, I'm trying to write this book at the minute that I mentioned in a blog post earlier in December. It's about a teenager, who I've decided shall be called Taylor (named after the main character of Cyberbully, possibly the best TV film ever!), who has money, the latest tech, fashion knowledge but doesn't have one thing; anyone to curl up with or be completely open with - someone to love. She thinks she's found the one, but he has secrets that could keep them apart. You all have to remember that the book I was previously trying to write (not given up on, just on hold so I can think more) had a lot of action in and cliff hangers make good books. There has to be suspense... It's how a good book works! I also decided to give a little snippet from the book:
My phone peacefully rests on the oak dresser beside me, until it vibrates. Maybe it's him, I think to myself - of course it isn't. A boy who is anything but a paragon of beauty doesn't text first. That's a rule isn't it? If there isn't a six pack beneath the tight-fitting shirt, then the girl won't fall for him... Isn't that how our technology accustomed society works? Regardless, I pick it up prepared to see false hope flash on the screen; however, his name stares back at me. I can feel my pulse beginning to rise but why should I? He isn't a figure of true beauty, he doesn't have amazing fashion sense. I couldn't be falling for someone less than perfect.
That may or may not be included but we'll see!
So everyone, I'll be back next weekend probably. Remember, keep opening your advent calenders and don't forget about helping out charity's; there'll be people in this world who won't get anything on the 25th, so try to raise some money for them!
