My 3 favourite bands!

I've said this on a lot of my other pages about my favourite bands... So in this post (the first one in like five days!) I thought I'd talk about my favourite bands!

I am a HUGE fan of Indie Rock and Alternative Rock bands. Easiest way to explain Indie Rock is that it's bands that sing too many love songs but have awesome guitarists! A lot of big bands are actually Indie Rock. Everybody has heard of a little band from Nevade, US called Imagine Dragons! Or for any Irish readers, you all know The Script (yes, that's the one with Danny!). Alternative and Indie Rock is everywhere and slowly but greatly becoming more popular.

The first of my favourite bands is American Authors. These guys only released their debut album this year, but they create such good songs. The difference between Alternative and actual Rock, is that the songs aren't exactly really fast and up beat, but they always have a kick in. That's why I love American Authors. They'll have a quiet, slow part and then all of a sudden it's upbeat and lively. In the next few years, these guys are going to be huge.

My second favourite is The Fray. Surprisingly, they aren't actually classed as Indie or Alternative Rock. They are apparently a Rock band, but I disagree with that. Only recently (like an hour ago) did I realise how good the songs by The Fray are and that's why they got second place. The songs are quite slow, but they have all the instruments of a Rock band. Plus, these guys are definitely going to keep doing what they're doing... They are 12 years old this year (formed in 2002)!

Finally, but not least, is OneRepublic. A year ago, I'd never heard of this group. To be fair, not many people had. However, the album that released last year (Native is the name of it) made them noticeable again. Like The Fray, they're an old band; they were also formed in 2002. OneRepublic songs are lively and no two songs sound alike but you always know it's them when they sing. To top it off, their lead singer (Ryan Tedder) is pretty good looking!

Just to mention a few more that I absolutely love... The Script, Echosmith, Bastile and Green Day (not Indie Rock but they still take up a good chunk of my iPhone's music). Remember to check them all out on YouTube or Spotify!

Love you all,
Ems!
