Hola, bonjour and ni hao!
I've not done a post like this and it'll probably be a short one, but I figured it was worth posting! I decided "Hey, I never review films" so that's what this one is about! The Duff is a movie that just came out here in the UK, and it stars Mae Whitman, Robbie Amell and Bella Thorne.
Before I get into it, I have never watched anything with Mae Whitman in... There was a show called The Tomorrow People that Robbie was in, and I loved it! Then there's Bella... Okay I had a "smidge" bit of an obsession with Annabella Avery Thorne. See what I mean? I pretty much remembered the entire Wikipedia page because I had too much spare time on my hands. Either way, it was a brilliant cast!
The actual film is about Bianca (Mae) who is the DUFF - Designated, Ugly, Fat Friend. You know how in schools everyone's arranged into groups? The musicians, the gamers etc.? Well, each group has a DUFF. The DUFF is the approachable one who people go to when they maybe want to be with another person in the group. When Wesley (Robbie) tells Bianca about DUFF's, she sees everything differently. During a science class, Wesley is told that if he doesn't get his grades up, he'll be kicked off the Football (American Football, may I add) team and lose his scholarship. Bianca asks Wes to help her get rid of her DUFF label, and in return she will help him pass science. Of course, Wes being the hottest guy you will ever lay your eyes on (besides Ian Harding from PLL), he has a crazy obsessive ex, played by the wonderful Bella.
Not just because Bella was in it, but this movie is one of the best I've watched. Some of the jokes are absolutely hilarious, and the ending is the cutest (no spoilers!). Personally, I can't imagine anyone else playing the characters as well as the cast did. They were all amazing, the plot was great and it gives you some good life lessons!
That's all for this post! I'm sorry it was a short review but my reviewing skills have never been good.
Love you all,
Ems!
I really want to see this movie, though I didn't know much of what it was about. I loved Robbie in The Tomorrow People too, I wish they were continuing it!

It annoys me how we never found out what happened as seen as they killed off the show. It was a such a good cast as well in TTP!
